Who is Savannah? She is the little heart and soul behind why we do what we do. You know, that reason you love what you love - your family! These days Chef zach and Savannah find their common ground in the kitchen. He is able to show her that work can be fun and also provide her a way to give back. Zach and Savannah bring extra food from Savannah's Food Co. to the homeless tent communities in downtown Memphis.
Chef Zach Thomason
Chef Zach is a native Memphian. He moved back to Memphis 5 years ago with his family and fell in love with life and health. He has developed an “Eclectic Southern” cooking style that brings together the best ingredients, flavors, and techniques of all he has learned throughout his career and travels.
In 2020 Chef zach was involved with the 275 food project & new south food co-op. While there he had the opportunity to learn from the best about fostering relations with local farms, and also with the real need for healthy, fresh food and eclectic cuisines to be available to all areas of Memphis.
Thomason also spent years working for local Chef Dave Krog on many projects and events including interim restaurant, Taste of Gallery and Dory restaurant. There he received the fine dining mentoring, skills, and encouragement needed to inspire him to create Savannah's Food Co.
Chef Zach is extremely passionate about the partnerships he has made with local farmers, ranchers, and artisans, and believes getting their delicious sustainable ingredients to your table is his mission.
